The challenge

Plant-parasitic nematodes attack the root zone, causing hidden damage that is hard to detect and hard to reach. Growers need a targeted, longer-lasting solution.

About Phytoguard Systems

Phytoguard Systems is an agricultural biotechnology company developing controlled-release solutions for crop protection. Its technology is designed to stabilize natural bioactive ingredients and release them gradually in targeted agricultural environments.

The company is also exploring applications in plant nutrition. Phytoguard brings together expertise in formulation chemistry, agrobiology and product development, and welcomes partnerships to advance its programs toward field validation and commercialization.

More about the company

Controlled-release technology

Phytoguard's technology stabilizes volatile natural bioactive ingredients and releases them gradually in the root zone, where plant-parasitic nematodes attack. A carrier matrix protects the actives and controls their release.

  1. Natural bioactives

Essential-oil-based active ingredients, combined for a synergistic effect.

  2. Carrier matrix

Protects volatile ingredients and meters their release.

  3. Root-zone delivery

Releases the ingredients around plant roots, where nematodes feed.

  4. Prolonged availability

Designed to extend activity over time, instead of a short burst.
